Ashby Rovers 2-2 Riverside. A fair result and a game played in the right spirit. _________________ I know I'm rubbish, that's why I'm doing your game. |

Yea was a good game, shame about your player sliding in on my in the area studs up to my face when he was never going to win the ball. Now he apologised i admit that but aparantly your players though it was funny. Wilko maybe you should have a word with your players, i could have easily been seriously injured after that tackle, instead ive got a bruise a centimetre away from my eye. Im sure your players wouldnt have been F*ucking laughing if our forward had done it to your keeper would they?????
Other than that it was a good game and i look forward to the replay. _________________ Swannington Keeper |

Ashby Railway 6 - 2 Walsh UK
2-1 at HT but we kicked on in 2nd half. Walsh felt aggrieved that apparently on build up to our 5th the ball went out of play before we crossed it in. Always play to the whistle.
Was dissapointing not to have a proper ref for this one. Walsh handled twice on the line and recieved no cards whilst our left winger has a nice lump on his left knee cap where he was stamped on. Sort it out CSFL.... |

It is unfortunate that the game didn't have a ref as did four other Division 4 games due to injuries, illness and the FA Sunday Cup, but if you want to try and allocate 27 refs every week then be my guest. _________________ I know I'm rubbish, that's why I'm doing your game. |

Yeh I understand it's not your fault, the way it is with the shortage of refs these days.
Out of interest though does a stand in ref have the power to actually book someone or send them off? Two clear handballs on the line, we scored 1 of the penos and missed the other but no yellows were given. If the stand-in ref does not have the power to enforce the yellow card through proper means then the safety of players is at risk surely? |

will definatley take the point considering we had a fat ageing Womble in midfield and me playing with a crippled knee out of position then having to go in goal for the last 15.
Good game tho still enjoyed it |

Railway Fan, any 'stand in' referee has all the powers of a registered referee for that game, so they can caution or dismiss a player. _________________ I know I'm rubbish, that's why I'm doing your game. |

To be honest if you had such a problem with the tackle from one of our lads why didnt you say something at the time? Instead of coming on the internet and running your mouth. None of us were taking the michael out of you getting inured, we arent like that. We had a good laugh with players such as Roger.
Anyways Swannington, good game and all the best for the season! |

Yeah but with all due respect, its alright saying that but its never going to happen, no player standing in as a ref would accept the **** that would come with making such a decision. An official referee gets an element of acceptance for this kind of decision, a stand in referee would probably get more then just a mouth full of abuse of alot of teams. There has to be an element of realism to this rule that 'stand in refs have the same powers', because only basic powers are actually accepted by teams from a stand in. _________________

Also;
Donisthorpe Engines 0-2 Barton.
Was a good game, defintley a game of two halves that probably would have been fairer as a draw, first half was all Barton's, some good play by them around the pitch. Goals came from a pretty dodgy looking penalty decision that the ref gave even though he was no where near it and a well crafted goal that came from a mistake of our defender. Hit the back of his head and striker took it on with alot of pace and finished it nicely.
Second half was a different story, Doni pretty much dominated the whole 45 minutes, there was some good counters by Barton but apart from one moment where our keeper made a professional quality save - probably the talking point of the second half - they never looked like scoring, though Martin did everything he could to get his team back on the attack.
We had some good chances and corners galoure and you could say we were pretty unlucky not to finish anything, but once again, the bottom line remains we lost and our bad run continues, tis alright performing for 45 mins, but when you do you end up with results like this.
Good game and have to say to all Barton are probably the nicest group of lads you can ask to face in Sunday League, a good bunch who play the game the right way and came back to our pub after for food (we expect some next time we visit lads lol) and drink, can't wait to face them again. _________________

Good group of young players with lots of potential. Totally agree, first half Barton second half Doni. There were two shots, one wide and one in the post at the begining of the second half that could have changed the game but at the end we managed to get the win. Keep up the good work Doni and better luck for the rest of the season. |

three nuns 6-4 enderby
we to had no ref got the call ten minutes before k-o so joe smith reffereed bit dodgy for 3 of thier goals but when your five one up think he took pitty on them other than that he had another good game. think the bloke who was supposed to ref was still in bed with hangover cos he was out on the ale last night is he gonna get a fine like we would if we didn't bother in the morning and just give 10 minutes notice and then we only found out cos our reserve team manager phoned!!!!!!! not happy
