If so, who for? Who do your players play for?
Interesting to see who people play for away from Charny!

Assistant to the managers at Birstall United Reserves a few years ago but that was brief.
Apart from that, work permitting I'm looking to obtaining coaching badges to then go into Saturday management at a reasonably good level.
Playing wise, years and years ago the mighty Kirklands but for me it has only ever been about Sundays and Birstall Stamford _________________ BIRSTALL STAMFORD FC

Most of our team play for Quorn 1st team / ressy's. Also FC Dynamo, Mountsorrel, Sileby, and a couple of North Leics clubs and a few that don't play sats. It's quite varied to be fair. _________________ "The Royals" |

Out of 44 players signed on, we have:
2 x Birstall United Reserves
2 x Birstall Social
2 x Birstall RBL
38 x not good enough / can't be bothered, take your pick.
PS, we have one lad (strange boy) who plays in the Sunday afternoon Church league - Does that count? No, thought not _________________ Birstall Trees F C |

is that luke Bennett by any chance I got roped into playing in that league but in all fairness it's a decent league in the entire season I don't think there was one on pitch argument it's quite strange but so relaxing to actually concentrate on the game rather than petty arguments over witch way the throw in goes instant red card for any sort of swearing even if it's at yourself so I had to practise at shouting fudge and fiddlesticks lol |

it's harder than it sounds especially with a hangover and that's not the half of it you have to have a prayer before the game around the centre circle, we had an Indian lad playing for us he kept threatning to bring a rug and do his prayers while facing east lol
we had daft lad (our keeper) play for us and he had an official complaint because he turned up in a t shirt with Jesus with a football with the slogan "let us play"
i know i shouldn't think it as it's still a serious league but it was a good giggle and enjoyed it although we got spanked every week |

Gags about Church League top of the table clashes between Quorn Baptist and Groby Anglican are legendary in the Stamford set-up. Mostly confounded by the fact that I played in it. This is actually a total lie. _________________ BIRSTALL STAMFORD FC

You see some of the sat sides mentioned on here and it just makes our league position even more outstanding.
We have not had any sat players for years and to compete in the div 2 when teams have these kind of players is remarkable. We are not against sat players...but we are a pub team...sundays football as it should be....
