Q. Does it cost anything to register with this forum?
A. No! This forum is free to join, and always will be whilst in conjunction with MyFastForum.
Q. I am new to the world of forums. How do I write something or answer a comment made by another person?
A. First of all, welcome and enjoy! You must register a user account before you can "post" something on the forum (before you can place your comment on the forum). Once registered, simply go to the forum you want and use the buttons at either the top or bottom of the forum. One is called "New Topic" - This means you are starting the conversation and not answering to one already posted. See below for reference:
You will need to click on an existing topic to see the other one - "Post Reply". By clicking on this button, you are answering an existing comment made by another person. See below for reference:
Q. I keep getting lost! How do I get back to the main screen?
A. If you are finding it difficult to find your way around, you can always click on the text "Charnwood Sunday Football League Forum Index" at the top of every forum. Or you can click on the logo (top left of every page on the forum). Doing this takes you back to main screen (the 'index' page). See below for reference:
Q. I've spotted something called "PM" - what is this?
A. PM stands for Private Message - it's basically a personal email to a user/administrator and can only be seen by you and the person you are sending it to.
Q. I am unhappy with a comment posted by another person on the forum - what is the procedure of reporting it?
A. If you are ever unhappy with a specific post that's been entered, you can always PM an administrator. You will need to provide the details - what forum, the comment title and the username that posted the comment. Please do not reply to their comments - report it through the proper channels. If found guilty, they will be dealt with appropriately by the administrators of this forum.
Q. I can't edit the post I made - why not?
A. Each forum has its own permissions set, and some of them may not allow the editing of posts. If you really want to amend your post, please contact an administrator at your earliest convenience and we will do it for you.
Q. I have sent private messages (PMs) but they are not in my sent box - what has happened to them?
A. The PMs remain in your sent box until picked up by the other person. Once that has happened, the PM will be transferred from your Sent box to your Delivered box. Tip: Keep an eye on all your message boxes, as you will have to delete messages from all of them to ensure you keep within the limit provided and not have things "bounce back" to you.
Q. I want to put a picture/video clip/game on the forum. How do I do this?
A. You need to ask an administrator to do it for you. Send them a PM - they will contact you if they think it to be unsuitable and will not be put on the forum. Otherwise, be patient and it will be put on the forum as soon as we can.
Q. How do I know if a user is logged on or not?
A. On the left hand side of a users' post, you will find the users' details (username, avatar, amount of posts made to date, date joined etc) - there will be a small image (a lightbulb with text to the right of it) - one is a green lightbulb which means the user is online. If it is a grey lightbulb, the user is offline. See below for an example:
Q. Can I start a competition on the forum?
A. As long as it is a friendly competition and abides by our terms and conditions, yes you can. If you are not sure whether it would be allowed, please contact an administrator and let them have a copy of the competition - they will check/test it and let you know if suitable as soon as possible.
Q. How do I change information on my account?
A. Click on the "Profile" link at the top of any page to the right of the main logo. You can edit all details necessary there. See below for reference:

This is where you can actually amend your details... please note that to change your existing password or change your email address, you must confirm your current password in the box provided otherwise it will not save those changes. Once you have finished amending your details, go to the bottom of the page and click on "submit".
Q. What policies are in place on this forum?
A. We have our own terms and conditions set in place for this forum, and it also comes under the umbrella of the terms and conditions of MyFastForum. We do not accept any forms of abuse whatsoever, and operate on a zero-tolerance level on certain aspects. Discretion can be used by the Management Committee on all matters concerning the forum.
Q. Will this forum always be available?
A. We certainly hope so! We do remind every user though that this is a privilege and can be removed at any time should the League Management Committee decide it is being abused too regularly or on too great a level.
Q. Does bad language count as abuse?
A. Yes! In our eyes it does - we do not wish our users to use foul or abusive language anywhere on the forum, and just by changing the letter to a number or star doesn't change the fact that they are swearing and being abusive. This should be reported whenever spotted to an administrator with a PM.
