Magnet Tavern in the Spalding & District Sunday League.  Anyone ever played against them?  I have their stats and info but just wondering if anyone's actually played them (or seen them play)?

If this is the team I'm thinking of (and as it's the FA Sunday Cup I think I'm right) then the Saints are in for a very rough ride.

They basically have a special side for the FA Cup games and it is supposed to be very strong indeed. I always fancy them, Lobster, Oyster, Hetton Lions or Nicosia every year

Which team is Wayne Rooneys Uncles and Cousins Sunday side? Is it Hetton?

This is one side you don't want to play

Beat Robinsons Garage 5-1 in the last round
and had a certain Julian Joachim playing for them, full of Unibond players, couple years ago beat Advance Couriers 4-0 as well

I heard a rumour that Joachim played for them.

Cheers for the heads up Laughing  Be a very tough game by the sounds of it! Looks like the Saints will be (big!) underdogs then Laughing

Used to be Lobster but now it's Oyster I believe. They lost in last year's final to Scott's Grey who bullied their way to the final. Nasty bunch.

Hetton are bankrolled by the chairman of Crystal Palace I believe. Ha ha I remember 1st year we (Stanny) entered the FA Cup we lost 2-1 to them in the semi's. After the game in the bar, one of their players asked Topps the Penguin who was assistant gaffer at the time what we were on for todays game. Topps replied 'Usually £3 subs a game but we let them off as they paid £10 each for the coach" Hetton's player couldn't believe what he was hearing as he was on £200 a game.
