|
In the four league matches played in the Premier Division, there was a total of 15 goals scored, and only 2 teams kept a clean sheet in that division this week. There were 2 home and 2 away wins.
Division One held 5 matches, with a total of 27 goals! Only 1 clean sheet and a slight home advantage as 3 wins were by the home teams.
Division Two held 5 matches, with a total of 21 goals! 2 clean sheets, and 3 home wins again sees a slight home advantage.
Division Three held 5 matches, with a total of 27 goals! 1 clean sheet, and no home advantage evident this week, as there were 2 home wins, 2 away wins and a score-draw.
Division Four held 5 matches, with a total of 23 goals! 2 clean sheets and 3 home wins sees yet another slight home advantage.
The overall gist is that it tends to go slightly in the favour ofthe home team, and a huge amount of goals in the opening fixtures
The League goals scored this weekend totalled 113 across all Divisions, with 24 games being played -- the goals per game ratio across the League is 4.708! A very big goals/game ratio!
If that carries on, it will be extremely unlikely that I will be buying anyone 2 pints at the Everards Cup Final for keeping a minimum of 13 clean sheets in Charnwood League Competitions!! I am pleased
