Foxes legend Matt Elliott will host the inaugural "Matt Elliott Football Tournaments" at Walkers Stadium on Sunday 23rd May 2010. There will be a mini-soccer tournament in the morning for the kids and in the afternoon there will be a 5-a-side tournament for adults which will be based on the rules for small sided soccer. Each team will have a minimum of 1 hour's pitch playing time.
The suggested squad size is 7 players but you can have more or less players if you wish.
The tournaments will be organised by football "experience" company Football For Fans Ltd. The price is £500 +vat and the price includes the post-tournament function (inc buffet) in the Sports Bar where Matt will present the trophies etc to the winners/runners-up.
The tournaments have the full support of Leicester City FC who will soon be advertising the events on the club's website and in a forthcoming matchday programme.
Please e-mail jeff@footballforfans.co.uk if you would like to register your interest. Thank you.

500quid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Considering the costs involved in running a Sunday side, £500 could pay a lot without lagging it on a load of corporate tosh of which, no doubt, a majority of the costs go to. _________________ BIRSTALL STAMFORD FC

'Football for fans'??????????? If you want to provide experiences for real fans, lower the team entry fee to something more realistic and get a corporate sponsor for the event to cover costs. There's no way I'm lining Elliott's, Walshy, Izzet or any other of that 'Legends' mob. I did enough of that in my time following the City I wont be doing that again. You want £500 for grass roots football go and sign for Stu Dealy _________________ BIRSTALL STAMFORD FC

You are being very harsh Krashslaughta75 without actually knowing any facts at all. Let me also say from the outset that this event has nothing to do with Matt, Muzzy or anyone else and Matt has merely been asked to host the event.
The facts are that my company hires stadiums from clubs. Football clubs are a business too and therefore have to make money, or hadn't you realised that. Our event at Walkers Stadium follows on from the successful events we have staged at West Ham, Southampton and Norwich and gives ordinary people an opportunity that they might not otherwise get to play in these fantastic stadiums. Many have considered it to be a dream-come-true experience but I totally agree that it is not cheap and it is up to individuals to decide whether they think it is worth 80 quid or so to have this type of experience.
We feel it is good to put something back as well so another aim of our company is to raise money for charity at these events and so far we have raised over £14,000 for charity.
