It was a good game (though not so much the result ). I have to be honest and say that I've seen both teams play better football, but that's what you get at a final!
Although Greenhill fought well I think we were unlucky with having to make 3 substitutions through injury (2 in the first 20 minutes), having a goal disallowed (still not sure why) and, from where I was standing at least, a clear penalty claim. Having said that we also headed right off the line and our keeper made a couple of blinding saves so it could have been worse! The bottom line is that the team who took their chances won and that can't be argued with.
I enjoyed the experience as a whole and just want to say to the Greenhill boys to take good care of that trophy - you've only got it for a year!

Steve, the goal was disallowed for a push in the middle of the six yard box, and I can understand your view on the penalty. For what it's worth, my wife said she kicked every ball you did and was shouting for you to win!!
How is your player with the bad knee, it seemed like a bad injury as soon as he went down. Please pass on my regards and best wishes.

Evening Ian, it hurt a lot at the time but gas and air in ambulance helped a bit. Got seen and shipped out of Leicester Infirmary (think they were a bit busy) on crutches.
Hopefully no lasting damage done!
Thanks for your concern!!

Which one with the bad knee?
Matt - "My parents drove me up from Oxford to see me taken to hospital after 10 minutes on the pitch"
or
Pete - "My knee's gone... no, actually it's f- aaah it's gone again"
Matt made it out of LRI about midnight on crutches but I reckon both of them are finished for the season now. Carl was in the walk-in centre at 1am having stitches in his hand.
I have no idea how I'm going to field a side on Sunday!

in my opponion the goal was right to be disallowed but I think it was a penalty! I also agree that we have both played much better! Hope all your lads that got injured recover asap! See you Sunday anyway!
