Assault on a refereeHello. Below (in bold) you will find a post on the Alliance League website that concerns an assault on a referee. The person in question is banned from all forms of our beautiful game and for the benefit of everyone, and football in general, should be prevented from playing.
I also believe that the picture below is the player concerned.
If you, or anyone you know, believe that you know of this player playing, please inform me, via a PM, or a post on this website.
Hi everyone
Just thought you might be interested in this. I was the 'lucky' referee who got punched in an Alliance towards the end of last season. As some of you will know, the player got arrested straight away and was interviewed, admitting the whole thing. The police sent the file to the Crown Prosecution Service who said they wanted a few witness statements before they would prosecute so sent the file back to the police. The police did not do this, despite having lots of people who watched the game offering to witnesses at the time, and the file sat on someones desk for six months. As a result of the police doing nothing, the time limit for prosecution passed meaning the player could not be prosecuted and got away with it, even though he was handed on a plate to the police. You've got to wonder some times haven't you!

How are you involved in this matter - Are you the referee? Anyway, that aside, why are they to contact you?...What position do you hold? Why not contact the football League (and of course County FA)?
If the case was brought in front of CFA and the case proven and punishment provided, then we as a League will hopefully pick this up and enure he does not play. If a Club still plays him without our knowledge, and this was proven (or seen by a League Officer), then the player and Club would both be heavily punished as per League ( & County!) Rules.
We do also have members of the Committee going out (literally) every Sunday morning.
Final thing is to note that you have not correctly posted the image on this forum.
