Bless the US! (Part Two)True stories from the US:
1. A person walked into a K-Mart, did their shopping and went to the checkout. The clerk rang up a $46.64 charge. The person handed the clerk a $50 bill. The clerk gave the person $46.64 back. The honest person mentioned the error to the clerk, who became indignant and stated she was educated and knew what she was doing. Again, the honest person mentioned the error and held the money out for the clerk to check and correct. She repeated her comments and refused to check the change, so the person eventually just walked out of the place with the $46.64!
2. A bloke went into a Starbucks with a "buy one - get on free" coupon for a Grand Latte. He handed it in to the Trainee who was serving, and the Trainee looked over to the chalk-board on the far side that said "Buy One Get One Free!". The Trainee thought for a second and then said, "They're already buy one get one free, so I guess they're both free." And without checking with anyone, the Trainee gave the bloke 2 Grand Lattes for free. The bloke just thanked her for being efficient and quick and left with his 2 free drinks!
