Parva away for us. Tricky and injuries may conspire against us but we've been unbeaten for 2 seasons in this trophy and I'll strive to make sure it's 3

Apperently the team we (Breedon) were due to play (Forest Hotspur) have been thrown out the Sunday Trophy:

So looks like a bye for us?
Ian @ Birstall Trees

Tell me about it!!!

We have just been thrown out aswell

I have a player that has signed on in a different name (unbeknow to me), and the county FA has picked up on it, and fined me £141 and kicked us out of the county cup, over a £14 fine owed from 2007.

Now I am a bank manager, and I know what you lot would say if I charged you 1000% interest on an outstanding debt, but unfortunatly the County FA are a law unto themselves, and I have no right of appeal.

And they wonder why mens 11 a side teams are going to the wall.

To say im pssssd off is an understatement
wvfcgaffer

whos been kicked out 1sts or reserves ? i think some of the fines they give out are a bit over the top
Ian @ Birstall Trees

First team

As I said £14 owed, fined £141, I'd say thats a bit more than over the top.

Called the lad in question earlier, who has basically told me hes not paying and has now quit, so looks like it will cost the club this money, and I will let the County FA know to suspend him again, so they remove him of the list one day and put him back on again the next - but they make £141 for nothing.

I wouldn't mind but he only came on for the last five minues of the game when the score was 4 - 1 to us (the final score) and this is the only five minutes he has played all season.

Now thinking it was the most expensive five minutes I have ever witnessed on a Sunday morning.
birstallstamfordanumber1

Thats a f*cking joke ian.Funny how they pick up on silly things like that and make an example out of you.

Shocked Clubs brought in to CFA for extreme violent conduct only get fines of around £50-£75 for 1st offences Confused  The value of the fine makes no sense to me?  I'm gonna have a look at who imposed that fine and look into a couple of things. That's bang out of order from CFA.

Leave it with me for a couple days if you possibly can Ian, I will PM you Saturday or Sunday with an answer, once I've spoken to someone about it.

That is the luckiest draw for you ever as they would waltz every round about 10-0 at your standard. No disrespect to you Breedon but have you seen their side? They would win the Sunday League Prem at a canter. And that's no disrespect to Goscote Spartans either who class last season and have retained most of the same squad

No idea who they are but seen their results this season were something like played 4, won 4, scored 48, and they won the first round of the cup 8-0.

So yeah, could be lucky......
Krashslaughta75

Trust me the 8 - 0 was without trying. Massive result for you boys I had them down to win that Cup with ease.

Half of them played for Willowbrook who won the Sunday League Prem last year, one from Premier Sports, managed by the last Thurnby Rangers manager to win the Senior League when it was half decent standard as well.

Forest Hotspurs are stupidly good.
Ian @ Birstall Trees

Called the County FA re our little problem, they too thought it seemed a tad harsh, and would get back to me to see what they could do - time of call 9.30am - Still waiting!!!

You should get a call from them on Monday (unless they've decided to be efficient with this case and call you before this post Laughing - unlikely though Laughing)

I know what happened and it's just not on - hope you get a reduction in the fine Wink (don't know how much, but hope you get it nevertheless!). All the best.

PS: If you don't get a call on Monday, let me know by replying to this thread please? Cheers.

Got tired of waiting so called back

The answer was tough luck, thats the charge, and yes you are still out of the cup, no right of appeal, and please now go away, and then hang up on me

Like the front page of the county FA web page boasting about their £11M injection in to grass roots football, guess my fine will aide their favoured projects, none of which include mens 11 a-side Sunday football

Hi Ian,

Give me his address and I will collect the money from the lads house. ( i normally charge 25% on debt recoveries, but for a firend i'll do it for free )

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the offer, not sure if you are being serious or not?

Putting my peacekeeper hat back on (think if I let the 1st team manager ring the County FA we would be kicked out the league by 5pm today) it is a frustrating situation.

In fairness to the player, he played for a team three years ago that disbanded and his old club was fined - didn't pay - and each player received a £14 fine as their part of the fine.

The county FA do not write to the players involved, but rely on the club secretaries to spot this and recover on their behalf.

In my defence, on checking the suspensions list, I am checking for the names of the players signed on for me, and can't be held responsible for a player showing on the list in a different name / different club.

Unfortunatly the above does not count as an excuse in the eyes of the County FA.

Anyway I'll make this the last word on the subject before I start to sound bitter and twisted (which I am)

keep your pecker up ian

Forest hotspurs have a great side and the best player I have seen in a while, jake duffy!
Krashslaughta75

The Barber's are top class tho. Joe Moran's top class. Vernon Harper decent on his day. Duffy's class tho. I wonder if they'll join the Alliance next year? TBH i don't really rate the Sunday League.

How Leicester Sports and Culture perform in that league is beyond me. Worse side I've witnessed in ages.
