E-mail scams

I don't know if this is the right section to post, but:

I recieved a spam e-mail with this e-mail address: "THE LOTTO NL PROMO INT." <nlpromo@adelphia.net> and googled it.

It is a e-mail scam site, so if you get one disregard it and delete it!

BTW I am supposed to have won 1 million euros!!!!!!!

THE LOTTO NL PROMO INT

I've had millions of spam emails just lately.... including ones from (allegedly!!! Rolling Eyes) Lloyds TSB, Nationwide, National Westminster Bank, Abbey National and the usual ones from abroad pleading for me to help them after a recent death in the family or poverty stricken after a natural disaster... the list is LONG! The obvious thing to note when you get these emails (other than the extremely suspect spelling and grammar errors!), would be the link when you point/hover the mouse arrow over the link in the email, it comes up with an address which doesn't even have the name of the company in it Confused And of course.... any emails from YAHOO.CO.UK or HOTMAIL.CO.UK (or .com Smile) is a MASSIVE giveaway as no company uses those as their commercial email addresses...! Confused Confused You'd have thought people would be trying harder, but at least it gives us a chance to ignore and delete immediately without having to click anywhere or anything else! Laughing

PS: Sorry for the over-usage of the smilies... but I'm sure it got the point across! Very Happy
