Fair play best team won
However, I had 21 players wanting to play on Wednesday, but turned up with a bare eleven
3 - 0 down, down to 10 men, and score, then down to 9 men and score again, probably should have started with 9!!!
45 games this season, no red cards, and then get two in a friendly, sums up our season really
Good luck to Riverside, in which ever division you go up to next year, and if you still fancy another friendly, then we would like to play you again in pre season.
Thanks again for the game
Cheers Ian

It was great that the referee could come down on such short notice, after we were left in the rubbish without a ref.
That's where his positive impact on the game ended though. He pretty much ruined it for everyone with the succession of crazy decisions.
A good example, in the first half I broke free and ran down the pitch, but was taken out by an awful challenge which was nowhere near the ball. When I complained I was told that I'm not Ronaldo and need to expect and deal with those kind of challenges.
However, in the second half, I went down during a much better challenge where the player probably won the ball - It wasnt a wreckless non-attempt at winning the ball like the one I felt in the first half anyway - but this time, the player received a second yellow card and was sent off...
Is it really that hard to be consistent over 90 minutes?
Anyway, we did what we had to today, to prove we are a match for almost any side. All in all there was some half decent footy, played in the right spirit, by the players at least.
I can't speak for our manager, but I can imagine he would love to arrange another friendly close to the start of the season, hopefully it will be a bit more competitive match with people battling for places etc, rather than having just finished the season.
