scisne latine?

Clue is in the title!

Anyone who knows what it means can answer me in the language it was written.

I need to brush up on this language, so a few quotes/sayings will be put down when I feel they are relevant... so if I answer in this language and you do not understand, let me know and I'll translate it for you.

The first one I will post is:

bonis nocet quisqus malis perpercit
missj

does this translate to WHOEVER SPARES THE BAD INJURES THE GOOD or WHOEVER HAS SPARED THE GOOD MEN IS HARMFUL TO THE GOOD MEN same thing either way

SI FECISTI NEGA! MY FAVOURITE BY FAR
missj

SORRY THATS SUPPOSED TO SAY BAD MEN IS HARMFUL TO THE GOOD MEN
Admin (No PMs Please!)

Correct: "Whoever spares the bad injures the good"

Laughing that really doesn't surprise me missj considering your signature Laughing Just never deny it to me personally please Laughing

Okay... I think you'll get this one, but here goes:

Fastigia, quae illustres apisi sunt, non subito volandi victi sunt;
Illi autem, comitibus dormientibus, sursum laborabunt in nocte.

Let me know what you think it is? (Or anyone else that thinks they know.)
RefSec

Something like;
The heights that illustrious men have attained were not conquered by sudden flight. But they, the companions sleeping, were working upward in the night.

Not word perfect, but I'll allow it! Laughing

Ouch.. that hurt! I have my reasons for wanting to recapture what I was previously taught. Not for public concern.
missj

i think steve that you should change ya signature to this as you apply it sooooooooooooooo well Wink DORUM HOC EST SED ITA LEX SCRIPTA EST
missj

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH MR NIGGLY PANTS NOT FOR PUBLIC CONCERN HEY. WELL I CONFESS TO CHEATING Laughing TO GET ANSWERS AS I NEVER LEARNT LATIN AT SCHOOL AS OLD AS I AM.!! HOWEVER IM FINDING IT QUITE INTERESTING THAT IM LEARNING SOMETHING NEW WHILE CHATTIN TO YOU AND HELPIN YOU RECAPTURE THAT GREY MATTER

I cannot believe you see me that way already! I've barely made an impact on this League, and yet you've got me right already!! Very Happy

And I think the first word should be "Durum", but not entirely sure (after racking my brains for a while I eventually remembered! Laughing - And yes, I have got some, thank you).
missj

yes it should late at night brain stopped workin lmao

Think what's been said should be translated for those that don't know what we're talking about!

dum spiramus, libertam defendabimus = "While we breathe, we shall defend freedom"

Durum hoc est sed ita lex scripta est = "It's tough, but that's how the law is written" (that's how I read it anyway... it could mean "That's tough, but the law is written"... same meaning basically).
