Want to join our League? Helpful guidelines and requirements

Interested in joining the Everards Charnwood Sunday Football League?

There is certain information that will be requested from you if you wish to join the League for the 2008-2009 season...

But first, it must be noted that written notification of your intent to join the Competition must be received by the General Secretary. Once that has been received and you have provided as much of the information detailed below, the ball is rolling (pardon the pun) and we'll take it from there.

(1) Have you got a Committee formed for your Club? - Is there a good structure for the Club? (Please provide as many details as possible: eg, who holds which position on the Committee? etc)

(2) Where is the team based?

(3) Have you got reasonable finances to cover the start-up costs and extras in case of fines etc early in the season? For the 2007-08 season, they were £60 subscription fee, £50 deposit (returnable when all fixtures and obligations to the League have been fulfilled upon your leaving the League) and £10 for entry into the 2 Cup Competitions (Total = £120-00). This is subject to amendment, however can be used as a guide to the cost involved. You will have to pay separate affiliation costs to the Leicestershire & Rutland County F.A.

(4) Have you organised a pitch to play from? - Is it going to be a pitch-sharing scenario? (If yes, then who with and what League(s) are they in)

(5) Can you provide a list of players you intend on registering? - You will need to clearly state their full name and which club they last/currently play(ed) for.

(6) Do you know how to affiliate with our County F.A.? - If not, you can visit their website and choose the "Open Age Affiliation Form" link on the right hand side of the page (This will open an application form that you will need to fully complete and return with payment to the County FA (Details of who and where to send it are on the application form). You must be affiliated with the County FA, or you cannot play in any organised football league.

You must not send in your affiliation form and payment to County F.A. until March 2008 onwards (League deadline is to have passed on your County FA affiliation details to the League Secretary by the 1st May in each year) giving you plenty of time to get everything organised.

Having all of the above information available when applying to join the League not only greatly improves your chances of being successful in your application, but it also means a faster and smoother application from both ends.
