What are the chances?

We've not played a game since 2nd December 2007, mostly due to the weather.  Sad

It's not rained since the weekend... what are the chances of us playing this week do you think?  Question

If it's called off again I'd better start freeing up some Wednesdays!

Well our pitch must be one of the worst in the region for holding water! Please don't rain! I want this week to go ahead!

celtic_steve if burleigh is waterlogged this week would you be interested in switching the game to our ground ? it will be ok 2 use and no one else plays there !

Steve, Iain,

What's the league's view on this?

Assuming this is the Cup game?

If it is the Cup tie, then we'll have to wait as long as possible to see what Burleigh say.  If it's a "no" again, then I do not see why this offer cannot be accepted on this occasion - just to get the match played.  Of course, the people that would have to agree to this would be both Club Secretary's and Mark (which I think he would).

The League could, if it wanted, reverse the tie anyway (similar fashion to what CFA do after 2 weeks unplayed).  Not sure if this has ever happened in the past, but it is viable if the League so wishes, providing all angles are covered.

Please get in touch with Mark to see whether he accepts this offer on behalf of the League.  Hope that answers it for you.

it's a league game. given that Burleigh pitch inspection is around 1.30pm on a friday, what do you think the chances are?

League match? From memory, you have not yet played each other so far (I think), so again, there should be no problem as long as the 3 parties mentioned earlier all agree.

If Whitwick can guarantee availability of their pitch for that date, then use it.  If it is a late change, well that means you have to let both squads know what's happening - also let Mark know on the Fixtures side, and let Iain know for the Referee to attend at the correct venue. Job done - everyone is happy (unless the weather causes both venues to be unplayable!).

As far as the referee is concerned, it's fine as I am the ref, boo! hiss!
I don't think Mark would mind, but it's better to check with him.
