Soon as I can.  Have been trying for a little while now Sad

Anyone with any ideas as to why I keep getting the "404" error messages? -- The pages are listed in the site, and the pathways are definitely correct (triple-checked!!)... so why 404?? Why not a different error notification? Why the "page not found" message?!?!

(I must admit, I haven't spent a heck of a lot of time on figuring out why I am getting the errors, and will be out all day tomorrow... so looking likely to be Tuesday I'm afraid).

Steve, your fixtures index page does work. I downloaded it and created a dummy page as the target and it loads ok. It must be a problem with either:

1. File structure - double-check your folders
2. Filename - double-check spelling
3. The page itself, maybe it calls something illegal on the first line? Maybe worth checking again.
4. Something unknown on you web server - maybe they have a 'total number of files' limit that you have exceeded or something silly like that. Might be worth checking your bandwidth limit for your site or total space allocation - the usual stuff.

If you want to e-mail one of the pages we can't get to yet I can have a look at it for you if you like.

Cheers,

Steve,

Any ideas on why we can't see the pages yet?

I have no problem posting them on here, but that still doesn't solve why the website is not showing them (and why it thinks it is that specific error)?

Not to mention the website obviously currently gets much more notice than this forum, and people wouldn't think to look on here (except current users...). I will spend some time getting them onto the forum as a quick fix for now.

And yes Celtic_Steve, I think I'm making headway as to why it is doing this. If I am right, I shall not be best pleased with our hosts angryfire If it is what I think it is, then they are basically breaching our agreement/contract and will receive a very strong complaint with a view to insisting on compensation (maybe 6 or 12 months free hosting... that would calm me down a little)?
