Should have a touch of feistyness surrounding sundays fixture pal, my lads are like a wounded animal at the minute!

Think if we get another result it should put us back in the race for promotion

All apart from Jamo in the mid were very good on the ball and they had 19 players?

If I were you lot I would put in a complaint  Wink I am pretty sure that one of the guys that scored against you is not signed on with the right name..... On the LSL site they have a player down as scored by someone from there own team called Michael Line I think, yet on the score sheet they have sent in the scorer is Michael Leadworth or something like that ?????

Why has this player got 2 names ???? seems a bit dodge to me  Wink WORTH A LOOK. Smile

Hi Nick,

Finally got a game at home then!!!

Make sure your lads use our cafe, as I have got plenty of fines to pay at the minute and we need the cash. lol

Just to make you aware, the Legion let us know that they had to cancel some games the other week as their ref stated our goals are six inches too low, due to the deep drops on the parks sockets. We have played since and had no problem, but it was a ref in the charnwood league that reported the Legion to the District league, so the message may have filtered through, not sure what we can do to be honest, and the parish council don't want to know but thought I'd make you aware anyway

Cheers Ian

Cheers Steve,

I have already asked if we could do our own bodge job, but the Parish council wont let us

Mr Stanbridge didn't seem to mind/notice when he reffed us, but as I said another ref in the Charnwood league who also refs the District league, came out with his tape measure, and on finding out they were short reported Birstall RBL, and abandoned the game, hence the secretary of the RBL came to warn us the following Sunday.

Better shut up now, or else might talk the club in to another fine (if the Couty FA are watching)

May be a bit crude, but i'm sure you could drop some concrete in the bottom, using a tape measure to ensure both sides are level?

Steve - apologies - I have a problem called selective reading. The missus says it applies to most things I do particularly hearing! Laughing

Nick - you may be right deep down there is one somewhere  Laughing

Ian, do you have your own goal posts or are they used by all the clubs at your pitches, it may be the individual goalposts that are too small. I was quite happy with them, and to be perfectly honest I don't know many refs who go around with a tape measure measuring the goals!

Hi Iain,

The posts are jointly owned by The RBL, Stamford, & ourselves, and are the only ones used on that pitch, and have been since we bought them 4 years ago, to my knowledge the post sockets have never changed (as confirmed by the parish council) and as you said no other ref has ever had a problem with them, however, after being reported, the legion had a league official come down to the pitch on their next game to measure them and again confirmed they were short.

As the A team are playing on the pitch this Sunday, I feel its over to Nick to get his tape measure out!!!

I can PM you the ref involved if you are interested?

Cheers iain, ill take a couple of brick ends from work today to pack the bottom up!!!! I cant believe a ref would go to these lengths (excuse the pun), by bring ing a tape measure??

Can you make sure the ladies dont open the Cafe up untill after the game, dont forget i have Tippo and Tom Burton in my squad, both big fans of a pork product!!
