The Gate Inn have 2 players Martin Prince who has scored 6 league goals and Josh Hardy who has 3 but neither are mentioned on the Division 3 Top Goal Scoring, who do we need to contact to get the list updated

All goal scorers should be given to the Press Secretary (at the same time as you give your result).

If they do not appear on the website when they should, it can only be because they were not provided to Brian Jackson (Press Sec.) at the time.

Also, goals from the 16th have not been included yet (web updated on Thursday following the match).

Please reply to this post stating the scorers from all 3 games you've played so far, and I will check my records - if they match I will simply include goals. If records don't match, then I will investigate and decide whether to add on or not as this season I will personally be purchasing a trophy for each Divisional/Cup Comp Top Scorer AND a slightly bigger trophy for the overall top scorer throughout the League!

I will now check the above with my records - if they agree then they will be added when I update the site on Thursday. If not, I will let you know here, and inform you of what will/will not happen. ok? Thanks for the post.

I spent just over 5 hours updating items on the website today and will be doing the same thing tomorrow. So the top scorers will be on tomorrow sometime (depends on what time in the day I get to it).

Apologies for the slackness, I did kind of explain the circumstances in another topic.

Can ALL people that are involved in registered member clubs please note goalscorers in their posts/match reports to let me have them as early as possible? I could then update them on the Sunday night when I update the results/tables.

I will be updating the scorers again shortly, and I think in future I will take it off the website and have it on this forum only.

To be implemented as soon as I get a chance:

1. Removal of the "Top Goal Scorers" area -- I just do not get enough time to amend and publish this area on a regular enough basis for it to be of use to anyone.  I don't mind trying to keep it going on the forum, but that would mainly depend on the users posting their goalscorers when they post match reports or their results. As I have already stated that I would personally be giving a trophy (my own money not the League's) to each Divisional Top Scorer and the Overall Top Scorer for this season, I will keep track at my own availability to ensure I still have the information when required to engrave the trophies. NOW TAKEN OFF THE SITE

2. Edit the "County Cups" area so that there is just a link to the specific page on the CFA website for the fixtures/results for each round. TO BE DONE FROM THE NEXT ROUND ONWARDS

3. Hopefully (before I go on holiday), I will get a secure area set up for the Fixtures Secretary to be able to change the "Fixtures" area himself on a regular basis (basically.... whenever there is an amendment to it! - Even if it's a late amendment for whatever reason).

4. A major overhaul on a few programs and the scripting, making the web pages lighter. It should increase the speed of it loading when you want to go on our website (not received any complaints or anything, just noticed some of the file sizes currently in operation!). 1/4 OF IT DONE.

5. I have decided to use "proper" tools for future "upgrades"... Using the tools that I use to create professional websites with.  So the site should (when upgraded) look and feel more professional and be easy on the eyes!  Of course, there will be people who don't like it but you can't please everyone! IN PROCESS!

6. I may be looking for someone to take over the maintenance of the League website for the 2008-2009 season onwards. This is due to a few reasons (the usual really... work, personal life, the other things I help with on the League and of course, work again!). IN PROCESS!

If anyone is interested in doing this for the League, can you please reply to this thread stating any/all experience you have of web design (and to a small extent, graphic design).  If  you are interested but have no knowledge in this area then still mention your interest as I am more than happy to train someone for the position.  This is not an OFFICIAL advertisement for someone taking over the position, but if someone is interested then I will be happy to put your name forward for the 2008-2009 season onwards.

If anyone has any questions about the above or just want to give their opinion on any of the above points then please reply to this thread.

Thanks.

Updates on progress are in red in the quote.
