Sorry Wes, not feeling too good - just picked the first thing that jumped out at me.
Make sure you get the same result next week and I'll report that!

You see thats the trouble Stanford jumps out at u all the time, thats where us and the compass come in to change that.
By the way we have shelthorpe lions so if we win it will be worth reporting?? _________________ Honours:

Just thought I'd expand on this a little. A good performance from the lads today after last week's lacklustre showing against Walsh. A decent first half which was marred by our captain breaking his nose when he our left back headed him instead of the ball but we regrouped well and scored six in the second half and played some good passing football to boot.
A lot of credit to Ashby as well who only had 11 players, played some good football and had a few other chances to score which I shockingly was able to save. Plus despite the scoreline going heavily against them they never sniped at one another and the game never turned dirty (Not that I expected them to but I've seen it happen with teams who are on the end of that sort of result). The referee had a good game as well, played the advantage well and seemed like quite a jovial chap.
Very surprised to see Walsh go down 5-0 today though as they were a solid unit against us. |

Sorry Wes, we cant help being what we are, which is a very successful club.Between the three teams we had no fewer than 20 players unavailable but still managed to put out three teams that ALL won their respective games.I think thats what stood out pal.
All respect is due to the likes of yourself and Whitwick of course, but i dont know of any other club, certainly in the county, that could manage to do what we did today.Maybe thats blowing our own trumpet a bit,but its the truth.
Nice to see you get one over your old side by the way!! _________________ CUPIDO AC FIDES |

I dont know how you do it to be fair pal.
It was extra nice to come on with 20mins to go and net 2 and hit the bar? 0-0 at half time too? _________________ Honours:

We were awful yesterday, we had 17 turn up and the manager changed things about to keep some lads happy but it backfired addtional to this we could not pass togeather and did not show half the desire we played against Peacock.
To the credit of Birstall they totally were up for the game and are a decent side but they played a side that definatly were not the usual Walsh team.
Key factors no desire, changing team about and S*** performance from everyone. |

Cant remember the last time both sides won,

few key decisions went against us today but still beaten by the better side |
Cheers fella. Thanks for the game I was impressed with your lads decent bunch and should be a tip to go up on that and previous performances. If it weren;t for our keeper you'd have gone 2 up and probably killed the game off early. However props to our lads as the threadbare 11 done a great job
Nice friendly game as well none of the sillyness that sometimes goes with it. _________________ BIRSTALL STAMFORD FC

As you said a very enjoyable hard fought game, no silly spats or arguements with the ref. Wish it could be like this every week, but thats asking a bit too much i think. |

Ashby Railway 1-4 Sileby
A decent game, especially in the first half but Railway faded as the game drew on.
Sileby scored a quick free-kick after asking the ref to strike it, Railway equalised and were looking good to go in level at HT although a tame shot took a horrible bounce and went over the keeper.
3rd and 4th goals were again scrappy but Railway's legs had gone and Sileby rained down with waves of counter attacking football. Railway hit the post with the last kick of the game but it didn't matter anyway.
A good spirited game, Railway take some pride in giving Sileby a good fight after their recent 20-0 10-0 victories.
