Obviously not just content with being a club secretary, I have managed to get myself involved with the speedway supporters club, in their atempts to get Speedway re-introduced back in to Leicester.

If like me, you were a young lad when the old Blackbird Road stadium closed down on October 13th 1983, then you may, or may not, have heard that hopefully Speedway is set to be re-introduced back in to Leicester by March 2009.

If anyone is interested in what is going on, regarding the new proposed site at Beaumont Park in Leicester, then please feel free to visit the supporters web site:

To any old fans, this site is like taking a trip back in time, and you will also have the chance to watch a whole meeting that was shown live on World of Sport, against those strange people from the wrong end of the M69.
