Holiday-wise I mean! Embarassed The title was a bit dubious, but never mind.

If not, have you ever been anywhere interesting? I tend to go to the same old places (tried and trusted Smile), but I am looking to "broaden my horizons" a bit, so any good reviews?

New York is fantastic, good food, cheap and plenty of it, so ideal, eh, Admin?
Plenty to do and plenty to see, Geneva is a beautiful city and again relatively cheap, wherever you go , bring us a prezzie, or else I will sulk!!!

Well for new year I'm off to Germany. The holiday after that, I am in Washington DC for a week (Staying at the Capital Hilton hotel... apparently only a minute or two away from the White House!). The rest of the second holiday I will be in New Orleans (the Omni Royal Orleans hotel... basically right next to or in the French Quarter (should be good!).

I will certainly bring you a present... how's a plaggy bag sound? Laughing

I like to have 1 holiday where I do a bit of sight-seeing and laze around a bit, and I also like to have a holiday each year where I literally don't care whether I go out every night on the razz or just go out "socially" (in other words, I only have a few drinks!).

As you are going to Washington, a few good places to visit are the Old Ford's Theatre, (where Abraham Lincoln was shot), there's a couple of Smithsonian museums which are amazing, the White house museum, and just across the Potomac river is George Washingtons house and Arlington, which is a very humbling experience.
